Tom's Vyneskeller

In 1989, Vynecrest Winery opened their tasting room in the cellar of our Swiss Bank Barn. We "moved on up" to our current tasting room in 1998, but now we are proud to re-open our newly renovated cellar room, known as Tom's Vyneskeller. We named this room for Tom Landis, John's brother and Sam's uncle, who was a steadfast supporter of our wines and winery throughout the years and helped represent us at many venues, including festivals and awards ceremonies. The new Vyneskeller contains over thirty years of winemaking history to create an experience that is both rustic and modern. Our rich history can be seen in the original stonework and exposed beams, and oak barrel staves which were made into tables for an added authentic touch.

Tom's Vyneskeller is available for wine tours, private tastings, special events, and wine education classes. It is open on weekends as a Wine Bar, offering wine for sale by both the glass and bottle, accompanied by a choice selection of appetizers.

Public Policy
Our renovated cellar wine bar is open from 12 noon to 4:30 pm for wine by the glass and light appetizers. On special event weekends, we have live music here as well. Outside food and drink not permitted.

Private Event Policy
The Vyneskeller may accommodate a Private Tasting

  • Room rental Monday-Friday $300 flat fee for a two-hour period. No event to exceed 8pm in the evening.
  • Minimum of 40 people for a private tasting. All events must center around a wine tasting and/or tour. Two options: 1. $10 per person for the tasting (6 wines) plus light appetizers; 2. $15 per person for the addition of hot appetizers.
  • First half hour is a presentation of the six wines and food by one of the winemakers. Second half hour, your presentation.
  • Second hour is a social hour and an opportunity to purchase wine by the glass or bottle.

We do not host weddings, engagement, bridal or baby showers. Events need to be wine related.
